Wonderful wintery activities to enjoy as a family
Despite the irregular winter, the Eastern Townships always has some of activities to offer its residents and visitors (as it was previously mentioned in the Make the most out of your vacation by visiting the Eastern Townships article). In fact, many municipalities annually organise activities that are referred to as “Fête des neiges”. These events consist of free family activities that are inspired by bigger urban celebrations like the “Carnaval de Québec” or the “Fête des neiges” of Montreal.
In Magog’s case, the city has been organising a wintery celebration, with many free activities, for the past 18 years. Being successful year after year, the people responsible for organising the “Fête des neiges” are trying out some innovative activities this year to make this latest edition stand out from the rest. On average, at least 35 000 visitors participate every year!
This year, the celebrations will be taking place from February 3rd to the 5th at the enchanting site of the Merry Point.
